Weeky Tip #19: Get It Right at the Source

What do you get when you put shit into a reverb? Reverbed shit.

Do not try to mask bad quality sounds with effects. Instead, just don’t use bad quality sounds at all. If you want your music to shine, everything has to sound good already at the source. Anything less than great should be considered as waste to get rid of.

When your sounds are good to begin with, you can concentrate on making them really work together as a mix instead of trying to fix one problem after another.
